Back in the Saddle

Remember, it’s not what you do between Christmas and New Year’s, it’s what you do between New Year’s and Christmas. So jump back in the saddle, grab a motivational partner & go back to what you know you should eat and ditch what you shouldn’t!

Same as usual. Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm @ BFA Fairfax School and Saturdays at 8am. In Jeffersonville at Cambridge Elementary, it’s every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

New Year’s Day Sledding and Trail Run

At about 1ish on New Year’s Day, bring yourself and the kids to the BFA Fairfax school for sledding and trail running adventures. Run a little, sled a little. Let the kids do their thing. Hope to see you there!

Challenges & Getting Back in the Saddle

I’m not putting out a Challenge for the month of January because we all have a few of our own Challenges to focus on in January. February is when the next boot camp-wide Challenge will come out.

Attention 100/50 Day Challengers, you already have the knowledge and the tools, so if you’re lacking motivation or focus please, please do the following:

1. Grab a buddy. Find someone who can support you right away! Start moving vigorously again.

2. Start logging your food again. You have your emails from Megan that outlines what you should be consuming. Go back and read them please.

3. Read the highly informational blogs on the 100 Day Challenge site. You invested in yourself, so it will do nothing but benefit you to re-read those blog posts.

Bento Box, What is it?

Since our American food portions are out of control, you and your family can regain control by cutting the pile of food we inhale. You can try it through Bento size portions.

My daughter received this as a gift. Great recipe ideas!

The Just Bento website states, “Bento (written 弁当), or obento (お弁当)  to use the honorific term, is the Japanese word for a meal served in a box. Beyond that basic definition though, just about anything goes as to what kind of box or container is used, as well as what is put inside that box.”

Here’s a super site for recipe ideas. Of course, there are many more when you search online:
