Week in Review

Thank you everyone for being flexible during the Thanksgiving schedule last week. Looking forward to seeing everyone back into the swing of things this week. Class is as regularly scheduled. M & Th in Fairfax at 6:30pm, T in Essex Jct. at 6:30 pm at ADL, and Sa in Essex Jct. at the Aspire Studio at 7am.

All classes were held in Essex Junction last week.


“Not a bad turnout at Aspire Studio the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! Thanks for coming to workout Bill and Katie, Donna A., Betty, Kristin, Michelle, Jessica, Angela and Pam. You all earned that extra slice of pie!!! We all formed a complete circle and worked up a sweat together! We warmed up quickly with knee tucks, mountain climbers, squat jumps and sprawls. Followed with at least 120 of each…burpees with push ups, Sit ups, windmills, and star jumps (which Bill does with great perfection). We all cooled down with an ab move of our choice, completing 100 moves….After recapping our workout, I believe you all earned that extra slice of pie AND extra gravy on your taters!.” –Paula C.


A small group of us tore it up with a grueling 1-2-3 minute workout. We each had our own station and performed mountain climbers on rags, lateral ladder leaps, jump roping, and stepping push-ups. Maria came all the way from Johnson. We found out that she did gymnastics for 15 years. You can tell by her technique; her body is amazing. She was doing cartwheels and round-offs with my daughter. It was great!!! Saturday, I had to cancel at the last moment due one of my children not having a good night; lots of coughing. I do apologize for the cancellation. I think I only had to cancel once or twice during the last four years.

Thoughts About the Holiday Season

I’m not going to talk about how to avoid too many tasty treats and drinks during the holidays. You know what to do . . .

I’m not going to talk about how to manage stress during the holidays. You know what to do . . .

Everywhere you look, there’s magazines in the checkout, commercials on TV and radio, and ads on your Facebook page telling you to what not to eat, how to avoid stress, how to declutter your home for the holidays . . . STOP!

Let’s take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
