This week ended with a Boot Camp Bash, hosted by the Fontaine’s. Good food and friends, jokes and jello shots. We even celebrated Christine S.’s 40th birthday with a homemade chocolate cake from Kellie L. Paula and her daughter Jamie brought a homemade watermelon cake . . . looked too good to eat. The kids played until they passed out . . . as a kid, those are the most memorable times. It’s wonderful to be surrounded by so many positive and passionate people. (SEE PICTURES BELOW)
***Change to Next Week’s Schedule***
The Monday, June 14 class needs to be moved to Wednesday, June 16. Monday is the last softball game of the season that my husband and I coach. Therefore, during the week of June 14, we’ll have 2 classes back-to-back. You can handle it 🙂
***Early morning summer class***
Based on a poll, early morning boot camp classes start on Wednesday, June 23 and will continue until August 11. Each Wednesday, the class will start at 5:45 am. To view the Summer Special, click on the Location & Schedule page.
***Next 15-Minute Boot Camp Challenge***
Washington county is our next stop on the Mini Boot Camp tour. On Sunday, June 27 from 10 – 12, The Confluence in Montpelier is hosting the 15-minute workout for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Go to http://www.bootcancer.org and click on Mini Camps. To date, the mini camps have raised over $700.00.
We’re constantly benchmarking individual performance and growth. I like to find new assessment and document new benchmarks. The Presidential Fitness Test, that I’ve used in the past, will be given soon. More details on this can be found at http://www.adultfitnesstest.org/. A quick muscular assessment that we’ll do this week is related to push-ups, squats and sit-ups and the websites are: http://health.msn.com/fitness/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100167955>1=31036
